pers and acrylic mediums add to the texture and In June of 2011 Beth relocated to the Atlanta area. She was warmly welcomed with an invitation to participate in the "Little Things Mean a Lot" show at the Swan Coach House Gallery. In the fall of that year her work was accepted in the "Pour for Prevention" show in Sacramento, California.
At the beginning of 2011 Beth was pleased to learn she would be included in the Billboard Art Project. Her work was displayed with that of other artists from around the world on a digital billboard in Savannah, GA in May for a 24 hour period. This was an effort to bring art to the public in a form not typically considered for more than commercial use. At the same time she made up half of a "Dynamic Duo" with Florida artist M.K. Shaw. Their piece, "Home" was shown in Connecticut at the Celebrations Gallery.
In December of 2009 and 2010 Beth had paintings juried into the Artistsregistry.com members show. In 2009 her Lady of the Stars won an award of merit at this show at the Gallery at Avalon Island in Orlando. Spring of 2010 found Beth serving as Artist of the Month for the Casselberry Art House in Central Florida. Her work has been chosen for two years to sell at the Trinity Preparatory School juried art bazaar. For a personal challenge she submitted a moleskine journal to the Art House Co-op in Atlanta, GA for its 2009 Sketchbook Tour of several American cities. It was accepted.
In addition, Beth's paintings have been shown in the Dallas area at Muse Interiors, in San Antonio at the Alamo Heights Art Festival, Riverwalk Art Festival, San Antonio Art Institute juried show, and the Painted Pony and Junior League Galleries, in Santa Fe at the Leslie Flynt Gallery, Sanford, Florida at the Gallery on First, Artistry Co-op, and First Thursday exhibits in conjunction with the shop at the Orlando Museum of Art. She has also received awards for her painted furniture in the HEB area of North Texas.
She has owned and operated a custom painting company which specialized in murals and faux finishes for clients. As a professional graphic designer Beth served as editor and designer producing five yearbooks for a private Orlando school, as art director for Campus Guide magazine in San Antonio, and as production artist and designer in the public relations department of Our Lady of the Lake University. Prior to that Beth worked for the Amoco Production Company and the Placid Oil Company. She also served as an outreach educator for the Morse Museum of Winter Park, FL.
Beth has also been involved in her community through volunteer work for the San Antonio Symphony, Grapevine/Colleyville School District, Ft. Worth Christian School, Colleyville Woman's Club, St. Andrew's Methodist Church of Bedford, Trinity Preparatory School, and Orlando Museum of Art.
